Kevin remained speechless when the genie appeared in
front of him. How could it be? That was stuff out of fairytales. But there he
was, with a solemn look on his face asking him for a command.
<<You can make one wish and I will make it come
true master.>> he said gravely.
That was it! He could have had anything he wanted! But
what should he have wished for?
Maybe it was better to ask for something that could
benefit humanity, like world peace or something. Or maybe he should have asked
for something more selfish, like money and power. None of those answers seemed
right to him. Then he remembered the words of the old woman who gave him the
magic bottle. <<Thanks to this object you will finally be truly
happy.>> Of course back then he didn’t understand what she meant, but now
he knew, and he realized that there was only one thing he wished for. After all
what does man desire most of all if not happiness? So he made the wish.
<<Genie! I wish to become the happiest person on
earth!>>
The genie nodded and with a poof he disappeared.
Suddenly Kevin saw the room around him change into some sort of dressing room.
As he looked around at his new surroundings his eyes were met with the image of
a blonde woman, partially dressed in what looked like a bride gown. His
surprise soon turned into shock when he realized that he was looking at his
reflection in a full mirror. He looked down at himself, peeking past his
breasts cupped in a lacy bra. He felt the veil brushing against his shoulders,
his smooth legs covered in white stockings and his feet hurting for the heels.
He was scared and confused. Why did he transform into a woman?
He suddenly heard someone knock at the door.
<<C… come in.>> he stuttered hearing his new voice. A girl in a
pink dress entered the room. <<You’re not ready yet?! Come on Jenna!
Everybody has already arrived! Here, let me help you!>>, and then she
immediately helped him slip into a bride dress. It felt really uncomfortable.
It was hard to move now that he was completely enveloped in a lacy gown. He
looked like a huge meringue. Other girls had joined what he realized was his
bridesmaid and helped him put on makeup and comb his new blonde hair properly.
He felt like a doll getting dressed up by a bunch of little girls. He started
to think about what had happened. Most likely the genie twisted his wish and
instead of giving him a happy life he literally turned him into the happiest
person on earth. And who is happier than a bride on the day of her wedding?
When he looked at the final result of the girls’ work
he remained stunned. He… that woman was beautiful. Truly a spectacle for the
eye. He was strangely moved by that sight. But he couldn’t just stay there
being tossed around pretending to be this Jenna. He had to get out of there. But
suddenly that thought made him feel really bad. All those people waiting for
him in the church, the girls surrounding him who were just as moved if not more
moved than he was, and most importantly the poor Jenna who had most likely
waited for that day for her whole life. Could he just ruin the most important
day of her life?
Still confused and uncertain about what to do he
decided to play along for the moment. A few minutes later the church organ
started to play the wedding march. He took a deep breath and started walking
down the aisle with Jenna’s father holding him by the arm. He looked so happy,
as did all the people looking at him at his sides. Then he saw him. The groom,
waiting for his bride at the altar with a happy smile on his face. He looked so
in love. That stare melted Kevin’s heart. He couldn’t possibly run away now. He
had to go all the way through the ceremony. He could always search for a
solution later on.
A few minutes later came his turn to say the words,
and with his breath short he managed to stutter them.
<<I do.>>
His heart plummeted when the priest said <<You
can kiss the bride>> and when his eyes met with those of his new husband
he quivered. As they exchanged a passionate kiss his limbs went limp and his
head went numb, but he also felt a warm sensation in his chest, and he shivered
as their lips finally parted.
Once out of the church they were covered by a storm of
rice, with all the guests applauding and cheering and crying touched by the
sight of the happy couple freshly wedded. He just now realized that this was
the first time in a while that he had felt truly happy. Sure, it wasn’t really
his happiness. He was stealing it from the woman whose body he was now
inhabiting. But why couldn’t he just embrace his new identity? Why couldn’t he
become Jenna? After all the genie got him exactly what he wanted. That was the happiest
day of his life. And as he looked at his new husband in the eyes he knew many
more happy days were awaiting him from then on.
